Cold wet day. No news. went to Lady Byles
for lunch. Jo Sullivan was there. Home and
had rest. In evening attended party to
Mrs Marjory Furbank in Miss Collisson's room.
8 Mon
Worked on shorthand in office. Getting on
well with it. Had dinner in cafe and went
to bed late.
9 Tues
Got cordial note from Lady Forbes-Robertson,
so went to office in evening and sent "Old
Blastus" to her. It will go now I believe.
Wore new hat.
10 Wed
Cold wind but no rain. Feel exhausted.
Mr Elgood came before lunch. Pottered in
office. Home and washed and to bed.
