Nice rest. Very cold with the English ideas
of central heating.

22 Mon
Woke to see snow flakes eddying outside the
windows. Went to Roland & Rivkin & got frock.
Dinner with E. Wood at petite Casserole &
then she came to my room.
23 Tues
Very cold wind still rampant. Hard in office.
Went up High Holborn to look at shops and other [?]
for new secretary. Have not accomplished much.
Had evening meal in room. Made up mind if
"Old Blastus" goes it defrays remaining years
of my art. Will see.
Wrote Aunt Lena. Hope she is well.

Committee meeting in office. Also Mr Martin
came in. Mrs Hamilton[???????]
I wore my new black velvet dress for first
time. Mr Martin doesn't mind us not writing
shorthand, so that is another worry that was
silly. The play is coming right too. Home
and did a bit.
Fog in morning and again in evening.
