2̶5̶ ̶T̶h̶u̶r̶ ̶ 24 Wed
Busy day in office. Preparing for meeting
and Mr Martin's coming. Fine but cold.

26 Fri
First day with new man and a very satisfactory
one too. Mrs Hogarth called in evening. I
stayed after hours and finished Mrs Holman's
story. Got home at 9 very tired. Hope soon
to have news of play.

27 Sat
Fine day. Mr Martin left early, thank God,
hope he keeps it up. He's all right so far,
but I keep my weather eye on him. Had lunch
in office with Miss Hodge, helped her with
Mrs Holman's story and then went to Camden
Town and bought three jumpers. No news yet
of "Old Blastus" but there soon must be.
