FL661803

Native belief of future existence
When we die we go to Marriang lying towards
the rising of the sun where Baiamai resides. there we sit down &
live with Uragallagabe his Son; Baimai
himself we can not see in this state of
existence. After a [word crossed out] certain period
we shall all be struck dead by the
word of Baiamai's Son. When mouldering
away on the ground, some large animals probably
like large dogs come to lick the bones and
by so doing raise us, that is to say, the men to
life again with a far superior & greater body
the women are not raised again;but women
of a superior kind are provided for the men
by Baiamai, from the race of the Burrambia
superior beings living with the deity.
Then in this new body we shall see
Baiamai also.
