Mrs Wait left us. Mr Robins held
an evening service Rain fell
towards evening

Raining the greater part of the day
A quantity of clothes left from the
previous weeks, together with the
present week's supply, requiring to
be dried, the fire was lighted to
heat the drying room, the clothes
all dried in streaks, smoky, and
had all to be washed over again
A large branch of the Willow near the
Wash house snapped off during the
night. Doctor Nathan called

4th
Still raining. Ladies general
Committee. Instructed by Mrs Goodlet
to write to Mr Crane respecting the
guttering round the house it is
all so full of leaves & dust that the
water overflows there.

5th
Heavy rain. Harriet Penketh asked
for admission, it was raining
so heavily, and she was looking
so miserable that I took her in
without an order upon her promising
to conduct herself properly and
remain any length of time that
the Ladies of the Committee may
judge proper. Stove in the ironing
room out of order, the damper handle
