Gentlemen your esteemed favor of
24^th ult came to hand on 3^d Inst, which is duly
acknowledged as the notice alluded to in in the
law authorising your Bank, and will
be laid before the Legislature- to whom
I will recommend a review of the act
which does not asignate from whence the
money shall be drawn to meet the engagements
in the Bank provided the stock was Subscribed
for. I beg leave to refer you to the act
from which I presume, you will scarcely
be able to perceive, how I could be autho
=rised to become a Subscriber in behalf of the
