Dear Bob
Your cheerful and goodly
greeting of the 20 - inst. is at hand - I am
truly glad to hear from you again
and am right well pleased to learn
how well you are getting along with
your studies. I thank you Bob, from
the bottom of my heart for the
kind advice you give me in regard
to driving away. the "[Illegible]
and devils [illegible]" that were once
wont to annoy me - All has gone
well with me since I last wrote
you and I have been happier
far than I ever hoped to be a
month ago - I have finally made
up my mind to meet manfully and
hopefully - all that fate may have
in store for me.
You will be glad to learn that
I was this morning regularly discharged
Doct Gray has appointed Tuesday
the 28th as the happy day on which
I am to leave for Buffalo - I shall
not stay longer than a week in that
city as I shall hardly expect to hear
