Ah! Cousin Bob,

You are a naughty
boy, for talking about our beautiful Spring
in that manner; I want to give you a
good scolding. Call it muddy Spring?
Why you must be thinking of winter surely:
Why Spring is our very pleasantest time
of the year. You must not judge until
you come and spend some time with us,
and I am sure you would call it lovely
Spring. If you could only see our garden
now with the sweet Mocking birds flying
hither and thither and building their
little nests and twitering and cooing and
singing their beautiful songs to one another.
Oh! it is delightful; and then the pattering
rains that we have in April, making the
flowers brighter, fresher by its appearance
and the air is so soft and balmy after
