Status: Needs Review

I am glad Major is well.
How does he behave himself
in the harness and under the saddle?
I would like to gallop him
across the prairie once more.
Will he allow you to shoot while
in the saddle?
We are having some very
pleasant weather just now.
It's as pleasant and May! It is
very much such weather as we
had at Northfield while I
was with you, only a trifle
colder.
The people have not harvested
their corn yet. They will harvest
as they want it to use. Their
wheat look well.
Write soon and direct to
Cologne, Mason Co. Va,
With my last wishes
to you all I remain
Yours truly

Action: Corrected several words on this page e.g. "refrain" to "remain" in line 22, "Coloque" to "Cologne" in line 20, and "Northfill" to "Northfield" in line 12. Not sure of initials provided in line 24's second signature nor of "Va" in line 20.
