a letter from you which I did not answ-
er from the fact that It was a long time
on the way; And I did not know where
to find you;-
A few weeks sinc I got another which
I should have answered ere this; But was
in hopes to learn something from the boys
about the Mouse of which you spoken;
of which I know nothing;-
Our winter has been very mild; a little
flurry in Nov which lasted a few days
Mild throught Dec & Jan; the first of
Febuary brot with It some winter. But
still; comfortable & warm for winter;
In day (Sunday) It snowed all day the
fore noon; and has all the appearance
of Cold Winter; Wheat looks fine -
Everything plenty; but Money;
I took a box of specimens to the State fair
for you; labelled them as directed
for the purpose of expressing them to
Chicago; Mr L Elsworth kindly offered
to take Charge of them; and foreward
