I have been writing some letters to station agents
down south and I shall be mighty careful how
I go down into those infernal bottoms in a
hurry. I did not take quinine sunday
as I think it may be the cause of my feeling badly.

Uncle Will is going to have a dance etc on the 4th
In the afternoon all hands are to help clear out
the graveyard, - trim up trees &c and perhaps have
a fall play.

All going on well I think you were
mistaken as to the state of things at home You
came at a bad time - Charlie is getting along
well. He has done an immense deal of work
He does not have any trouble with the men
as you seemed to think he did.

A letter for you came from Baird
he gives some more names - (of men to
be invited somewhere)
