Mr. Girard was much pleased
with the orthoptera; he has been
so busy with his medical stu-
dies and other specialities
that he was unable to do much
with them.

I wish you would collect
Hymenoptera extensively: bees, wasps
&c. A Swiss gentleman is going
to prepare for us a work on the
N. American species, and wants
all he can get
