Dear Bob -
The Finch you sent is F. Savanarum
Yellow Shouldered Finch - Abundant on
the prairies - sings early in the morning Ze ze ze ze, chee
chee, chick - Glad you have an egg for me. I
never found a nest. I have not eggs of
the "Bull-ox with a long nose" - glad to get
some - Hope you can spare one of the
short-eared Owl eggs - Hawk Owl Kenn
- Some boys found a nest but the eggs
come out of their pockets in small contributions
- Sorry you and your sisters cant come
this season to visit us, don't work
too hard -
You need not send the beetles till I come
for them - hope to have time to call
on you - You are catching Millers
like [illegible] - We [illegible, smeared] - got some
splendid specimens - Exchange with
