Monday Evening.

Dear Brother.

It f[strikethrough] is pretty late Bob
but I wanted to talk to you - I wish
you were here - I do. Annie is out
spending the Holidays - she, Aunt
Deal and Em have been over here
this evening - since they went home
I have been reading - reading in
one of my new books that Frank
gave me for Christmas present -
Y. B. Aldrick's poems - What do you
think of this?

"And the quaint little snakes grass
Lift their silver heads to the moon."
And this -

"As sad and sweet
So parting kisses be".

Frank gave me Mrs Hemans
poems [illegible].

Father expects to start tomorrow
