Dear Bob.

I have just finished a letter to Charlie; and now comes your letter; Sunday mornings I always have a lot of letters to write: enough to keep me busy at least all the forenoon. I think my sundays are usually my pleasantist days, for I have leasure to write and read, except when we have company.

We were disappointed in not getting letters from you or Father by saturdays mail, no chance to get letters now until tuesday.

We have not heard from Charlie yet, but we could scarcely expect to so soon.

There is some talk about having the mail arrangements changed so that a regular stage will pass every other day, we should be very

glad indeed - it is such a nuasence to get the mail in the way we now do.

Maj got home from Chicago fridy, He did not go to see Carrie Clarke, and is now provoked with himself to think he did not. He us really[underlined] bashful, but would not own it for any thing; and wanted to see Carrie but did not like to call alone.

The weather is extremely cold. Yesterdy the Mercury was 7 below zero - to day it is just a little more mild, but is still cold[underlined].

Yesterday we almost made six shirt on the mahchine: it seems almost magical sometimes to see what a quantity of sewing can be accomplished in such a short space of time.

Take good care of Father, and have him enjoy himself lots.
