Dear Bob
I have at last started to write to you. I expect you must think that I am an ungratful dog for acting as I have since I left the Grove but I do not blame you if you do think a good deal worse. After I got home last fall I was anything but steady. I used to carry on

hard I did not care a d for any body or any thing. I have to keep a little straighter now than I used to. I have not been in to the old tavern where I used to spend most of my time evenings and most generally go home kind of dizzy. fore over 3 months I have not seen the in side of the old hell hole; The Staite faire will be held in Cleveland

this month and you must be shure to come and see us tell your Father Mother Charley Am, Girles little ones and all to come we have got plenty of room. I think it will do any of you good to come. I will give you some better segars than thoes that I used to give your Father the ones you bought but dare not own them I[underlined] was[underlined] ago[underlined] We have got a pond here

most as large as the ten mile pond and a boat or two that will sail as fast any of them & if you will come I will give you some good sailing How much are stufed Owles worth out your way I send $13 which is all I have got by me. Last fall I owed over one hundred dolars that is as shure as you live but I have Payed most all of it after this goes I do not owe but six $ my folks do not know that I owed a cent You may D me if I ever ask them fore a cent of money. You must think that I am smart to keep
