Marengo Ills Novr 15. 1858

Dr John A Kennicott

Dear Sir

We have
been watching the mail and depot
very patiently but have recd
nothing and feel very much
pleased that you have not
sent our shrubbery as the
weather has taken a sudden
turn and as it has become
so late you need not send
our trees and shrubs till spring.
We intended to put in a Bleekers
Gage & Coe's Golden Drop plum on their own Root
also 1 or 2 trees or the St. Lawrence
and Regal Pippin and 1 or 2 other
varieties that we did not find
on your list which we consider-
-ed choice but entirely forgot it
