Text of Petition: 3-1-1803-1 To the Honorable the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee Your Petitioners, Citizens resident on the South side of Hobton, beg leave to State to your Honorable body, that they frequently have occasion to attend at Knoxville on business, and there being at low water a very good [fourd?] on the said river Opposite Knoxville, Pray your Honorable body to pass a law authorising a passage to be kept Open from the now ferry landing to said [foard?], as it would save a very great expence to your Petitioners and others, and they in duty pray

Text of Petition: 4-1-1803-1 To the Honourable the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee to Sit in Knoxville on the third Monday in September 1803 - We your humble petitioners do beg that your Honours will take our present grievances into Consideration. Since your Last Session we have had two Justices of the Peace die in Captain Abraham Looney's Destrict (viz.) John Mar-gin Esq. and John Mancey Esq.
