Text of Petition: 19-1-1803-1 The Honourable the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee The Petition of the Officers of the Second Regiment of Cavalry of Hamilton District humbly sheweth, - that your Petitioners toge= =ther with a Considerable Number of Citizens under their command, are obliged by Law to Attend their Regimental Muster at Chuks + Roads, On a day that is during the Session of the Superior Court in Knoxville, and Whereas a portion of your Petitioners and Others under their Command have; and Occasionally may have, business at the Court in Knoxville, on the day that their Services are required at Chuks + Roads, and as the attendance of a Citizen cannot be enforced by the Military when Summoned by the Civil Law. We humbly concieve, that it woud conduce to the good order and better Regulation of the Regiment and a more strict attendance might be enforced, was the time of holding our Regimental Musters altered. And

Text of Petition: 2-1-1803-1 To the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee The Petition of Sundry of the inhabitance of the Inhabitance of the County of Jefferson Humbly sheweth. that Whareas Lewis Harman late of our County was at the last Session of the Legis= =lature of this State Appointed Surveyor for this County of Jefferson and hath since that Pe= =riod removed himself out of Said County & Became an inhabitant of the County of Gran= =ger and has never acted as Surveyor in our Said County. We tharefore pray that Your Honor =able Body will Anominate Jacob Peck in the Stead of the Said Harman as a Surveyor for our County trusting that from his Knowledge in heart and many years Practice that he will Be en =able to discharge the Said office with acuracy and Dignity and We your Petitioners as in duty Bound will Ever Pray-

Text of Petition: 20-1-1803-1 The honorable the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Session 1803 The petition of the inhabitants in the West end of Montgomery County humbly sheweth that from the Court house in the Town of Clarksville to the Western extreme of the County is from fifty to sixty miles, therefore it is very incon -venient & oppressive to your petitioners to attend Courts. &c- and that the situ -ation of the aforesaid Court house is cen -tral for a Constitu^tio^nal County- - Your petitioners earnestly solicits your honorable body to take their peculiar hard case into consideration and grant their relief, by circumscribing Montgomery to the constitutional limits, and erecting the Western part thereof into a new and distinct County and your petitioners as in duty bound will ever feel the highest impressions of gratitude -
