Dear Professor Driskell, Your letter of 9th October was waiting for me on my z[?] for the[?] African Studies Meeting in Montreal. This is a brief note to say it will be delightfel to have you visit us in January. I shall be seeing the ViceChancellor early next week about the possibility of having you officially designated a Visiting Professor during your stay. Finally, could you (?) a Public lecture for the institution a Black American Art- I know many people in the university who are very interested in such a lecture.

Dear President Lawson:

I have had a most rewarding visit to several West African nations and have settled down to my work here at this great university. It is a wonderful place and I was warmly and most royally received.

My work will be mainly advising and helping to set up the art curriculum here along with conducting several lectures on the subject of Afro. American art.

I am to see the Vice-chancellor on Monday to confirm with him about mutual programs in which we may find corporation at Fisk and if I shall report to you on the progress of this conference.

I am also enclosing a letter (copy) to my owens. Best wishes to all.
