Srs
I am favour'd with yours & bearer James, & by his
return send you a bottle of Mustard & a large Pickle pot,
hope the latter will be sufficient to hold the Pickles which
otherwise must have been confined to the narrow limits of
a member mug; I'm pleased that Michl. Wilson has
so good a prospect to get out of debt & am much obliged
for your attention to my Interest, I agree that the
quantity of Cattle in view will not be worth while to
drive & therefore think it advisable to give up all pretentions
[page damaged] on that head except something unforeseen should offer,
[page damaged] I have received the Parsons money he paid it punctually
[page damaged] propose to be with you assoon as possible tho' can't under
take to determine the day; Saxon seems to be in a poor way
but has not given me the least hint of the cause. / last week I gave
John Burks an order on you for Twenty five shillings
proft. payt in goods but after parting with me he got
a quart of Rum at the Store, consequently 23/ will
pay him. I am — Sr.
yr. Sincere friend
