BENJAMIN TAYLOR,
eleventh son of Col.George Taylor, born Nov.11,1759, never married. He served as Midshipman in Navy under his brother, Commodore Taylor, and received bounty of 2,666 acres; moved to Kentucky Oct.22,1794 and died there. He acquired vast tracts of land by taking them up and patenting them.
GEORGE CONWAY TAYLOR,
twelfth son of Col.George Taylor, and only child by his second wife (generally designated as "G.C.Taylor," or simply "G.C.T." in diaries), was born Jan. 13, 1769. He inherited a handsome estate from his mother and also received his share from his father's estate. He studied medicine under the tutorship of Dr. Thomas Walker of "Castle Hill" Albemarle County, Va.) (who died Nov.1794, aged 80-Castle Hill was afterwards the home of Wm.Cabell Rives, U.S.Minister to France 1829:1832; U.S.Senator 1833-1834 and 1836-1845. He was the author of "Life and Times of Madison.").
George Conway Taylor married Elizabeth Dixon and died March 9, 1805, without issue.
For a short time George Conway Taylor was Clerk of Orange Co., beginning Oct.22, 1798.

FRANCES TAYLOR,
sister of Col. George Taylor, born Aug.30, 1700; died Nov.25, 1761; married Aug.24, 1731, Ambrose Madison, of Orange County.
Their eldest son, James, born March 27, 1723, died Feb.27,1801, married Eleanor Rose Conway, and had several children, the eldest of whom was Jamese Madison, who became 4th President of the United States, 1809-1817. Hewas born March 16, 1751 and died June 28, 1836.

Martha Taylor,
sister of Col.George Taylor, born January 17, 1702, married Thomas Chew, of Orange County. She had ten children, viz:-

Larkin,
Frances,
Hannah,
Samuel,
Thomas,
Colby-famous Indian fighter.
Elizabeth, never married.
Mildred, married Dec.19,1786, James Coleman, widower, died Feb.10,1788.
Mention is frequently made in the diaries of members of this family, but the mother died previous to their writing. The Chew descendants are very numerous.
