May 22, Catlett James died. 24, T.Barbour's son, James Taylor, baptized by Rev.Mr.Balmain. 29, Funeral of Catlett James preached by Mr.Lelend, a Baptist Minister. Jun 28, Heard that New Constitution was adopted on 25th. Aug 3, Miss Jane Burnley died at Howland Thomas's. Buried at E.Taylor's 5, Mr. Goodlett the school teacher read the service at burioal, She was Capt [Garland] Burnley's daughter. 10, Capt Burnley's daughter, Lucy, died of Quinsy. 16, John Glassell at Erasmus Taylor's sick with Quinsy. Sept 18, Capt A. Powell died. Oct 11, Phil Taylor moved to Ky. with his family. 8, Son [Hubbard] born to Hubbard Taylor. 22, Hubbard Taylor started for Ky. via Redstone, with others. His wagon went some days before. Nov.20, Sale of R.Martin's Estate. 25, James Gaines died. Dec.19, Jer Sims & Mary Taylor [?] married. 25, Hubbard Taylor returned from Kentucky.
