Winter and the Spring are past. Summer is
here. yesterday the first day. I have been toler-
ably well during the spring excepting Mday in
which I have been generallyy unwell. I hope
now to return to good [??] health. I have
had to have recourse to mild [??] medi-
cines.

I am not established or satisfactorily here as
I hope to be. I wished to undisturbed on this lot.
My [??] of it is in view, a [??]
gain having been made to that effect when
is [??] to be reduced to writing. I want a
house of my own.

Brother James arrived here yesterday (1st
June) from [??] to spend his time till
this fall.

After [??] of Grace church of Balti-
more is, I learn, elected Bishop of the Dioceses
of N.C. in place of Dr. Ives seceded to the Rom
-ish Church. To the agony is or will be in this res-
pect ocer Bishop Ives's going over to the Church
of Rome [??] guest [??] in this Country
and in [??]. Bishop Ives hardly gone
back to the northern church for I look upon [??]
[??] church is only this reformed church of
Rome and that itself still needs reforming. In
fact church [??] and infact sprinkling
