On motion of Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr. Grimes, Messrs. Faucette Weil and Whedbee were re-elected as members of the Executive Committee

Mr. Tucker moved that the Chairman of the Alumni of State College be authorized to appoint four members of the Board of Trustees to serve on the State College Alumni Loyalty Fund.

Mr. Daniels moved that a committee be appointed to confer with the State Highway and Public Works Commission in regard to having transferred to State College a certain part of the prison lands bordering U. S. Highway No. one opposite State College farm property to enable the Animal Husbandry Department to obtain needed facilities for expansion. Mr. Daniels stated that the next most needed step in North Carolina is the improvement of cattle and dairying and that they constitute the basis for State progress. Mr. Daniels' motion was seconded by Mr. John Sprunt Hill and unanimously carried. The following committee was appointed: Messrs. J. C. B. Ehringhaus, Chairman, Josephus Daniels, John Sprunt Hill, Cameron Morrison, Thurman Chatham, W. D. Barbee, C. F. Cates, Clarence Poe, W. G. Clark, Irvin Tucker and Mrs. E. L. McKee.

Mr. Tucker moved that a telegram of sympathy be sent to Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Toon, over the recent death of their son, E. M. Toon, Jr., a member of this year's graduating class. Seconded by Dr. Poe and carried.

It was moved by Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr. Daniels, that the summer meetings of the Board of Trustees be held during commencement period and that said meetings alternate between the three units of the University as now in effect. Carried.

It was moved by Mr. Weil, seconded by Mr. Whedbee, that the Board approve the awarding of degrees to those candidates who are certified by the faculties as having completed the requirements for such degrees. Carried.
