Lenox Castle 14th Jany 1822
Dear Sir
I delivered the Letter you left with me to
Mr. Wilson Hill, who said that he had not the means
of paying the Balance of the amt immediately, but
it should be but a very short time before it was
was done; & spoke of paying through Hillsboro in
about two weeks if his Father's Health would permit
him to leave home. He has attended to no business
since the indisposition of his Father, who has continued
to grow worse & I fear will not recover. I understand
to day that his life is despaired of
Having no business at Caswell Court
I declined going as I did not get the money of
Mr. Hill for you
Respectfully your mo obt st
