train -- Slept some and felt better -- Jeff Hull was on train -- Arrived at B M at 7 PM -- good big drink of whisky & good trout supper made me feel much better -- Evening Jeff & I were about town little while -- Good room & good bed at 10:30 -- I sent telegram to wife on arrive in B M this evening, also one to S Summerfield --
Humboldt trout
* This belongs to last Sunday March 15. This morning at 10 I found Summerfield & he & I took trout to Louis Lonstalots French Restaurant and had him fried for our breakfast -- sweet rich & juicy, and finest fish I have ever eaten in this State, except those little Eastern book trout we had at Johnny [Skae's?] famous fish fry out at the Water Co's big resevoir on the Ophir Grade some years ago -- They tasted just like this fish -- The Humboldt trout are famous for ther superior excellence --)

Saturday March 21
Clear & pleasant -- Morning after breakfast wrote letter to Sardis Summerfield, & one to Hinchcliffe thanking him for the pass, etc -- At 11:17 took train for Reno, My baggage was my valise, coat, and fiddle & banjo rolled up in a bed comforter -- Het Hank Mitchell, and Abe Heyman on the train -- Got only nicely, and was re-passed through from Winnemucca by the conductor, under [Whited's?] orders -- Arrived at Reno 8:10 -- Wife & Bessie met me -- All right at home -- Bed at 10 1/2--
Sunday March 22
The same -- After a light breakfast I took train at 8:10 for Va City -- Yerrington on board & I had quite a chat with him -- Went right to Enterprise office & left
On the Comstock I on the Enterprise 82
valise & coat -- About town shaking hands -- Met Dan De Quille for 1st time since I left for Austin -- Looked for a room -- Got good one in Douglass' building for $8 per month, furnished -- Moved into it -- Evening about town a little -- Home at 10 -- Wrote Enterprise 82 -- my trip to Austing & back -- Bed at 5 1/2
