Saturday Feb 20

Same -- Rose at 8:30 with diarrhea -- At 10 was at train & wife came -- Home -- breakfast at home -- can of fresh Booth's oysters, raw, -- At noon Jane came from Gold Hill & passed PM with wife -- Wife went with Jane to G H on evening train at 5:25 & returned on 7 oclock train -- I saw them off for G.H. then shaved & put on clean shirt, & at 6 PM took bus for GH. Cara's brass band, 6 pieces on board -- We went together to the [K???] works and marched with the crowd of miners, about 90 down to Sevensons, a mile to celebrate his 60th birthday (today) good time -- Rode back at 10 with Lew Stevenson on buckboard -- Office & wrote up -- Took till nearly 3 to get

Sunday Feb 21

Same -- Rose at 11 AM -- Wife violent headache -- Made fire & cup of coffee for her -- At 11:30 Lew Stevenson from Gold Hill came with carriage for us to go down there to dinner -- We went -- Enjoyed a very pleasant PM -- Mrs Robinson was there also -- (at Stevenson's) Had lunch -- At 4 had dinner, and soon after all of us, Stevenson & I, & Mrs S. Mrs R. & wife rode to Gold Hill depot in his carriage -- At 5:35 train came along & wife left for Reno, & I for Va on foot -- Went to room & staid there -- read scribbled, slept, etc -- Bed 2 --
