Same -- read letters from John Forbes, State Senator elect from Esmeralda, & from JW Powell, Senator from Elko, in reply to my letters to them for Engrossing Clerk -- They will favorably consider, etc -- at noon I rode in 'bus to Gold Hill -- Got into

Gold Hill revisited -- K of P Fraternal Visit to the Comstock

basement of the Masonic building and saw the 4 boxes of books, pictures, minerals etc I stored there 5 yrs ago, when we left for Austin -- Arranged with Adam Gillespie to take them to depot & ship to Reno -- Rode back with Dr Manson to Va -- Work as usual -- Evening fraternal visit from the Knights of Pythias of Reno, Dayton, & Carson -- They came in special train of 2 coaches -- 70 of them -- Reno 30, Carson 20, Dayton 20 -- 70 in all -- Were met at depot by Va & Gold Hill Knights, with brass band -- Marched up Smith St to C & to Sutton Avenue & to Pythian (Pioneer)

Hall on B st -- Subsequently they marched to National Guard Hall to big banquet -- At 11 they marched to depot & gave the outsiders on departure, a good send-off -- Bed at 2 --
