Pioneers' Cabinet Removal

Friday March 11
Same -- Went to Carson & back -- The first carload of the Pioneers' cabinet arrived at the State Capitol this morning from Va -- stuffed animals principally -- Evening about town awhile -- Bed at 2 -- Got 200 lbs Wellington coal from Gold Hill today -- It is English coal -- Tried it this evening -- Like it as well as [Cannel] coal or better -- Burns well, but has less heat -- Looks some like Rocky Mountain coal, but is better -- It is clear coal, and goes all the ashes --
