The same -- Morning train to [Va] on time -- PM and evening wrote letters -- One to W S Hobart, S.F. asking a lease for Andrew Lawson and myself of a portion of the Chollar surface workings -- 300 ft deep & from 100 to 600 feet long -- Took it to train to mail it -- Saw Major Tim Storer off on a four months visit to California.
Has been clerk at International Hotel for years -- Very old and decrepid & liable never to come back -- President of the Society of Pacific Coast Pioneers -- Also wrote letter to Andrew Lawson, American Flat, enclosing copy of my letter to
