$25 from Fair -- Circus -- My 58th Birthday

Same-- 80 deg -- My 58th birthday -- No unusual circumstance marked the occasion, except a letter from Hon Jas G Fair, San Francisco, in response to my last letter to his --Very pleasant response and enclosing a $20 and a $5 greenback -- I sent the $5 to Reno by evening train to wife, with strict direction to take the children to the big Robinson Circus from the East, which shows in Reno tomorrow -- to be here Saturday -- Sent the letter by Barrett the stone cutter, whose place of work is opposite our place -- Bed at 1 -- [lines erased]

Same 80 deg -- Old John Robinson's big circus from the East arrived this morning in good style -- Big parade in street at 11 AM -- Didnt fully come up to previous circus parades in last 2 or 3 years, but was exceedingly good -- Got free ticket at Enterprise office and went in evening -- Circus in old place in Alexander's cow yard, 1/2 mile below C st and three half miles coming up back -- Big crowd -- fully 5000 -- Performance fully up to the average -- Was about town after the circus -- Bed at 2 --
