Same -- Went to Carson on morning train -- "goodby & may God bless you," etc -- Met lots of old acquaintances -- At noon 4 passenger coaches arrived with 250 passengers from Reno to respond to Carson for her attendance at the State Fair -- I rode on carriage to the Fair grounds, a mile or two north of town -- John Sweeney's place -- Very good attendance & very good time -- Home on evening train -- Room 7 -- at 9 went to theater -- Play "Shadows" etc same as 1st night -- Bed 1 -- Slim house -- Fair about same as Reno in stock showing etc -- only less of it -- races etc -- Didnt

Clear & very pleasant -- PM about town -- Evening at Opera House -- Webster-Brady Dramatic Co -- Play -- "After Dark" -- Of the sensational, arder after the style but inferior to "Under the Gaslight" -- Bed at 2 -- Finished & sent to SF Examiner an 8 page letter about Carson Fair --
