Clear & pleasant - cool- PM I attended graduating exercises at theater, of the Va Public schools - 15 graduates including 4 boys - House densely crowded- All the graduates spoke pieces, & there was music & singing - Rather interesting but tedious - Lasted from 1 to 4:30 PM - Evening was at ball of the graduates at theater - overcrowded - Finished my "Along the Railroad" & handed it in to Enterprise - Didn't get it in tonight - Bed 12:30 -

Saturday June 27

Same - 11 AM I attended the – funeral of Alex Corzell, from the Episcapol church - Many others attended the services - 25 carriages followed the hearse to the Exempts- cemetery where he was burid by side of his brother William - Evening I was at

theater - 1st night of Russell's Dramatic Co's engagement - Play "Black Flag, or Brother Against Brother" - Very good indeed - Slim house - Afterward at Enterprise - reading proof etc - Bed 3 -

Same - Warmer- PM about town - Evening at room, reading, etc - Bed 2

Clear, warm & pleasant - PM at room fixing up & washing the only good shirt I now have for every day wear - It is a light flannel that I can wash myself & I have it
