Eureka Mill Destroyed

11:05 AM, ten minutes earlier, and left at 5:20 PM -- 40 minutes earlier -- At 10:30 AM I left my room, with M Kinzle for Gold Hill to attend the annual stockholders meeting of the Centennial at our office -- Gold Hill Assay office. I presided as President, pro-tem -- Only Kinzle, myself, and W S James of the directors present and a couple of other stockholders, but over 80,000 shares were represented, out of the 100,000. We examined into the accounts and statements for the past year and re-elected all the old officers, making Kinzle also Vice President, something we never had before, I think. Kinzle & I rode back on the 'bus at 3 PM. We footed down there in just 30 minutes -- road rather snowslushy and muddy. Evening I visited ball of Jack Rabbit Club at Opera House -- Finest & most elaborate decorations I ever saw -- Was at Enterprise, reading proof etc and got to bed pretty tired & lame at 2 oclock. Eureka mill destroyed this morning --
