1895 -- Journal -- E H Mangus' Newspaper Proposal Reply -- W S James -- From Centennial -- More Como Items Zeimetz -- Closing of the Durrant Murder Case

Same -- Sent report of I.O.O.F. consolidation to Journal -- Bed 12 -- Got letter today from E H Mangus, Oakland, Cal, Oct 26 -- Printer who used to work for me, & also on Enterprise -- Has a small newspaper plant, & wants to go in with me & publish a weekly somewhere -- he to do the mechanical & I do the rest -- W S James passed up to Gold Hill on AM train -- was at Centennial Sunday.

Wednesday Oct 30

Same -- PM I was with Zeimetz awhile & he gave me more Como or Palmyra items -- The tunnel of the Reno mine is 330 feet to the ledge -- drifted, each way, about 400 feet in all following the ledge -- About 130 ft to surface croppings at the tunnel intersection and about 200 feet at the highest point of croppings -- Col E D Boyle's tunnel, started this season, is now in about 100 feet -- 2 men now working in it -- It is about 140 ft below level of Reno tunnel -- Evening I gave Morning News couple of items -- Bed 12 --

Same -- PM I wrote letter to E H Mangus, Oakland, Cal, in reply -- closing arguments in the Durrant case completed today -- Judge's charge tomorrow AM & case to go to Jury at noon -- Bed 12 --
