Manila shortly, it is thought -- They marched to the Pavilion at once, where they were lunched and dined by the Red Cross ladies of Reno -- were about town, as they pleased during the PM, visiting friends, relatives, etc. At 7 PM they were escorted to the open space near the depot by the Reno Guard with band -- Big crowd of people -- bonfire -- exercises on porch of the Palace Hotel -- Dr Stubbs presided -- Speeches by TV Julien, B F Curler Jr, FH Norcross, Dr Stubbs, Gov Sadler, etc -- Swords presented o Capt Linscott, and Lieuts Gignoux and Wright by University cadets, and citizens with usual form -- High school girls & boys sang patriotic songs from the balcony, band played -- much hurrahing and great general enthusiasm -- Train from Cal came along at 8:40 -- Our boys had two special sleeping cars -- train made long wait to say final good bye's, and finally

pulled out at 9:30 for the East -- The boys had splendid send off -- They carried a beautiful little company banner of orange colored silk, etc presented by citizens of Carson -- Another white frost last night & this morning -- Bed 12 -- clear & cold -- Three of the boys who got drunk & disorderly about town this afternoon were promptly discharged by Capt Linscott & their places filled by Reno recruits --
