Well here we are, a year later come Saturday. It has been quite a year. not a particularly great one. A year of learning. And of learning to be alone and put up with it and it is V. hard. to do

The children's father remarried in December and moved back into our house in Bedford and this caused a great magnetising of the children toward their old home & away from the city. The two little ones, now 10 & 12, are going to live there & come to me on weekends. I am dreading not having them all the time

but feel it is wisest to sit loose and hope they will see that their home is really with their old ma, city or country. Jennifer is so very happy in Deerfield that I cannot bring her to N.Y. So J shall be there with me. Ugh!
