H. E. Reid Talks.

Mr. H. E. Reid, President of the Board
of Regents addressed us Wednesday morn-
ing. It was complimentary to learn
from a man of so successful busi-
ness experience that a little school
teacher was one of his earliest in-
spirations.

We were interested in what he re-
lated of his recent trip east, especially
so in the facts concerning the Do-
mestic Science Department of the
Kansas Agricultural College. If such
a college that turns out graduate
housekeepers by the thousands can
boast of less than half a dozen di-
vorce cases among them in twice
that many years surely there
must be some vital connection be-
tween good home-making and house-
keeping ability and the insolubility
of the marriage bond.

It is worthy of experimental in-
vestigation anyway.
