Two lbs of sweet shred very fine 2 lbs of beef
shred fine 1 dozen apples choped fine two lbs of
currants or raisins washed picked and choped
1/2 lb of brown sugar a nutmeg mace & cloves
mix all together & wet it with cider & french brandy
