Far from the Mothers heart each anxious care May Fancy on rosy dreams alone With mild Elizabeth the vision share And in a Daughters pleasures find her own

And Thou first known, first lov'd, my earliest Friend Be fair as thy deserts the festive scene Each Wish fulfilled, content at last attend Tho' transient summer clouds may intervene

Steal on the peaceful current of your days Like some pure Stream their gently gliding cause, While mine in other Lands a wanderer strays, Smoothing the tremblous waves that swelled their Source
