June 23rd

a.m. Fresh SW wind tacked ship as required
at 8 Tacked off Folkstone. 9 Tkd [Tacked] at 10 Tacked
off Dungeness Lt [Light] House BS N 1/2 W. Noon Tacked
NWd at 4PM Tacked off Hastings 5.30 Tacked
NWd at 7.30 Tacked off the land. Fresh NW
wind & fine. Midnight Beachy Hd [Head] Light North.

June 24th

channel at Noon Tacked off Shoreham
at 12.30 AM tacked off Littlehampton. at 9 Tacked
off the Culver Cliff. Strong wind at WNW. & Cloudy.
