today felt very bad & turned into
my bunk. Several lady passengers

Friday 16th, July 1858

Been very seedy all week
have not been able to eat anything
heavy dull weight about my eyes
cannot turn them round. today feel
somewhat better was able to take
a little breakfast this morning first
food since last Saturday morning
this afternoon at 5 oclock Anchored in
Akyab Harbour. saw "Proserpine" laying
Dibbs came of in the ships Cutter
got my traps in & went on board
the "Proserpine" felt a great deal
better. The ladies Mrs. Power, Miss Rickett
& Miss Goldsworthy went ashore. saw
them come of[f] to the Steamer in the
evening when Cadian Dibbs & I
went ashore. Called this evening
on the Capt. & Mrs. Eals found
not at home
