Up before 6 bath on deck. Ship
still going along briskly as it
has been doing for some days
On Wednesday a very heavy
Squall struck us. Careened
us over tremendously Top gallant
sails let go topsail halyards
& close reefed them. lulled
towards evening a good deal
shook out the reefs & let top
gallant sail in the evg. the sea
is setting up from the
SE today shewing we are not
far from the SE Trades. the wind
has been steadily from the
Westward for a we [?]
Lat today for about 7° South
