to you. Horace has been in
the county today surveying,
and I should have been alone
all day but my brother and
his wife came down and
stayed all day. They have a
smart little boy, eleven months
old, and we think is a dear
babe. he is good company anyway.
Now you will have to
excuse me for tonight. Horace
has just come in with a paper
and wants me to read it to him.
says I can finish this in the
morning before the mail
leaves so "Good Night" -
Morning -
Mr Parmer's house and our's
are in the same lot together,
and we make garden together.
Mrs Parmer and I attend
to that since it is planted. at
home I have always had
a large number of flowers.
and I am trying to give them
some care now.
Mrs Parmer is a good kind
woman. I am glad I have
got her for such a near neigh-
bor. I taught school here for
two years, and am acquainted
with every one in the town,
yet it is not every one that
I would like to have live
as near as Hattie does.
Horace has gone into the
county again today. thinks
he will not be home tonight,
which I regret very much. I
like to have him with me, but
I am no coward. I can stay
alone. I can think of him,
and pray for him all the
same. Remember me in love
to Angie. I hope the time may
come when I shall see you all.
