Now we are all sitting and doing our
homework. I have a poem to
learn by heart and it is terribly
difficult, particularly because half
of it I don’t understand.
Today I will
take the book up to bed with me and
memorize it. I will also take it to the
playroom.
Today we had hair-washing.
It was really high time, too, for
me, namely because my head
was already almost stinky.
I am letting my hair grow,
because I want braids. It reaches
all the way down to my
collar right now, and then my collar is
always black. My neck is
always black anyway.

around and write with it like this.
It is quite easy.
Now I had better learn my
poem, otherwise
I will probably get
a punishment tomorrow.

I am going to start writing in English in my Diary.
I hope I will get on with it. I think make more
or about the same number of mistakes in german
as in English. I have forgotten a bit of my
German, but I think, if I talked together with a
German person, I would pick it up quite quickly.
I like English very much. I am meant to be doing
Prep now, but I have done it this morning. Our
Preps are Geography and Grammer. The English
