best in Grammar. I wished I was first in Reports.
I don’t think I’ll ever get there, but still I don’t
think it’ll hurt me, if I work hard. Some
people say that if you work hard you usually
get to the bottom, But I don’t think it’s true.
always, when I tried hard, I got further up.
It is now twenty minutes to four o’clock and
at a quater to four we have to stop. I think I’ll
go on writing in bed to night.
I am going to go on writing now.
This morning we got up at, I don’t know
what time. We had to hurry as usual, because
we always get up a quater of an our or u
ten minutes before the breakfast bell.
But we were all in time and that was the
lucky thing about it, because if somebody is
late for breakfast everybody has got to be in silence
for the night. After breakfast we had to make our
beds and than go down to the form room. We
had lessons than we went into dinner.

After dinner a few of us got some books out
of the Junior library. Mine is called “The prisoner
of Zenda.” Primrose McClean said that it
is sad, I wonder wether it is. I hope so.
after that we had Scripture and than
Prep. Than we went out on the field and
played Tennis. Than we had tea. After tea
I had to go and look for my Making tosh [mackintosh]
because I have lost it last night. Ginger
Kitchin helped me. I couldn’t find it.
Afterwards we went onto the field. There
Tini Rose collected all the people, who did
not play Tennis and we played Natzenbag[?]
and than we played twos and threes.
But we could’nt finish it and had to
go in. We supper and then went up
to bed. I am on my bed now. Betty
Hurd, our dorm head has, for the first
time, given her sweets round. They
