As things are, I do not see any possibility of escape,
no hiding here or outside the city, no papers
and documents will be good enough. The
only way of escape could be still (for Jews, who
do not look Jewish) to walk on the streets,
for days and weeks and months, if necessary,
sleeping every night on different places (out
of the ghetto), and having no papers. Even
this [strikethrough] way [/strikethrough] is risky, as there are rumours that
after the closing of the ghetto there will be a
general searching of all Bpest [strikethrough] flats [/strikethrough] houses, like
it was in Sofia and Zagreb. Sure, Bpest, with
its one and a quarter millions of population
will be hard to search technically, but who
knows, may be they will [strikethrough] close [/strikethrough] lock us up for a week.

My ‘phone is out of order since yesterday.
– Last mornings targets were in the Vienna
area, and a refinery at Pozsony.

Same night. Drunken G. soldiers [strikethrough] making [/strikethrough] creating noisy
scenes on the street. It is almost 11 p.m.

After my work I went to [strikethrough] fetch [/strikethrough] get a [strikethrough] calico [/strikethrough] cotton dress from
[strikethrough] a [/strikethrough] my little dressmaker (Jewish), who was not [strikethrough] on her [/strikethrough] at home
