Blackfoot Idaho Oct. 13, 1915 Gov. William Spry. Sir; Saturday Oct. 16, is close at hand, and judging from your silence, I take it that you cannot gain Hillstrom's consent to allow me to present the evidence which will free him and condemn someone else. Governor Spry, Salt Lake City. Esteemed Sir:- I observe by the press that you are in receipt of numerous threatening letters, and take this means of tendering you my professional services. Any writing or matters you desire to submit to me may be sent direct to my office, 306 International Bank Building, Los Angeles, or as a matter of reference or confidence, you may mail in care of the County District Attorney, Hall of Records, or the United States District Attorney, Federal Building, Los Angeles, either of whom will see that the letters, etc., are promptly delivered to me. I may state that I have had numerous cases of black hand letters, such as I assume occur in your case, and I state unhesitatingly that it affords me great pleasure to bring such nefarious criminals to justice. I have requested Mr. DeMoss Bowers, distributor, to send you a complimentary copy of my treatise on handwriting, which I trust may be of interest to you. Yours truly, Milton Carlson, September 23rd 1915 MC/B
