For You to Pardon Joe Hillstrom May be Contrary to Man Made Law. Me thinks if You allow this man to be Murdered. At the Resurrection Morn You Will find it very much in Violation of Your & My Gods Law. Some Day Some time. Joe Hillstrom Will be found Innocent of the Crime as Charged by Class Government. Taking the Life of this Man will be one More act to Cause the Coming Revoltuion that is sure to Come in the near future unless something turns up Now unknown for releaf of the oppressed

Dear Sir;- At a regular meeting of Local Union No. 1055, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, held this date, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted-

WHEREAS- Joseph Hillstrom, a member of the working class, known all over America as "the sweet singer of Labor", has been found guilty of murder, been denied a new trial and has been sentenced to be shot to death, and

WHEREAS- from our knowledge of the character and reputation of Joseph Hillstrom, we do not believe him guilty of the crime with which he is charged, and

WHEREAS- he is a cittizen of Sweden, a country with which we enjoy friendly relations and we believe the State of Utah should not commit an act unfriendly to Sweden,

THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED- that we ask you to use the power vested in you by the State of Utah, to pardon our fellow worker, Joseph Hillstrom.
